God works in mysterious ways, and a perfect example of this is how He connected us with the incredible father-and-son photography duo, Jacob and John Plante. For the past year, Jacob and John have generously offered their photography services to us, and we couldn’t be more grateful. They consistently show up to our events, bringing not only their artistic and technical expertise but also a deep passion for photography that is rooted in their devotion to our beautiful faith.

We never imagined we’d be blessed with such talented photographers, and even more so, with brothers in Christ who have become a huge part of our ministry. Their work has made a profound impact, capturing so many beautiful moments that have been essential to our mission of evangelization through worship. The power of a photograph is incredible. In just an instant, an image can tell a story filled with emotion, deeply connecting with its viewers on both a personal and spiritual level.

In a recent article titled "Can a Photo Be a Prayer?" written by Jacob, he shares a powerful reflection on his approach to photography:

“Ultimately, I’ve come to realize that photography isn’t about getting the perfect shot, with the best lighting and sharpness. It’s about recognizing the Divine sweetness hidden in life’s everyday moments. These still images remind us to pause and realize that God is with us in even the smallest detail.”

Jacob views photography as a sacred act, a form of prayer. His ability to surrender his work to God is evident in the beauty and anointing of his photos. If you’d like to read the full article, you can find it here: Can a Photo Be a Prayer?

We first met Jacob during a Hospitalité de Miami Pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Lourdes in June 2023. Msgr. Schwanger had asked Jacob to serve as the official pilgrimage photographer, capturing the journey through his lens. Ashley and Michelle, who were on that pilgrimage, took notice of his dedication. Around that time, we had been praying about starting a volunteer crew for Adore Nights, and the idea of asking Jacob to be part of it came to mind. Looking back, it’s clear that was the Holy Spirit at work!

Our first time working together was at Adore Night in February 2024. Jacob arrived, and to our surprise, he brought his dad, John - both of them armed with their cameras and ready to capture the night! Witnessing a father and son work together with such passion and enthusiasm was truly inspiring. The energy they brought to the evening was contagious, and their presence felt like a divine gift to our ministry.

Throughout the night, they were completely immersed in their craft, capturing every moment with precision and heart. Their passion didn’t just stay behind the camera - it radiated outward, uplifting everyone around them. When we received the final edited photos a few days later, we were in awe. The images were breathtaking, and we couldn’t help but praise God for bringing Jacob and John into our lives.
